Umbrian Lentils


They do not require soaking.

After rinsing in fresh water, they simply cook in 30-40 minutes, remain al dente and do not peel.

If the cooking water were “hard” that is rich in calcium, cooking could take about 10 minutes longer than normal times.

The cultivation is very ancient and it is the first cultivation of which there is written evidence.

These lentils belong to the variety native to the mountainous areas of Umbria, with the naturally small size of the round and multicolored seed.
